Not dramatically, the tailwrap will ad some tone and comfort, but the Aluminum is a major part of the sound.
What other tips can you give for better tone? Change your Strings regularly, make sure your Tuning Keys are tight,
use a Tube Amp, Good quality cords, Good Speakers, True Bypass Effects, Effects in the right places into the amp,
Good Pickups.
What is true bypass? When the Effect is off there is no circuit in between to suck tone.
What is Effects in the right places? Boost, Distortion, Fuzz, Wha in the input of the amp/ Delay, phase, Flange
in the Effects Loop.
What are good Pickups? Whatever you like [that are quiet] Dimarzio, Seymour Duncan, Kinman.
